Windsor’s Spaces

Windsor is a New Urbanism development that embodies the ideals of renowned town planners and architects Andrés Duany and Elizabeth Plater-Zyberk. It is defined as much by its unforgettable community spaces as it is by its captivating private residences.

Village greens, corner parks, perfectly groomed fairways and the majestic allée of live oaks at Windsor’s entrance speak to an appreciation for tradition and classicism. Throughout the Village and the South Village, streets are lined with charming homes, hidden courtyards and flourishing gardens. Expansive estates sit on the perimeter of the golf course and along the Atlantic shoreline.

VILLAGE CENTRE

Like the European villages it was modeled on, Windsor evokes a feeling of serenity and social connection. Tree-lined streets are intimately scaled to invite walking and biking, and all roads lead to the Village Centre. Whether picking up mail from the Post Office, sitting down for a refreshment at the Village Store, or attending a special event at the Pergola, Members find the Village Centre to be a vibrant part of life at Windsor.

A Meeting Place

Designed by architect Scott Merrill, Windsor’s Village Centre is entered through an enchanting allée of live oaks and is situated at the convergence of five roads. With many community amenities located there, the Village Centre is an ideal place for Members to meet neighbors and catch up.

Village Store

The Village Store offers casual fare to eat in or take away as well as a curated selection of groceries, sundries, daily newspapers and wine. Recognized as Windsor’s hub, the Village Store is a morning hot spot for families and friends who enjoy the fresh coffee, smoothies and breakfast options. At lunch time, golfers and tennis enthusiasts fill its tables for post-game meals and social time.

Places To Gather

The Exedra, an amphitheater designed for concerts and performances, the Pergola and the Village Centre greens are charming settings for special events. With theme dinners, Member parties, art and cultural programs, and children’s activities, there is always something taking place in these delightful spaces during season.

Dog Friendly

Windsor enjoys a very dog-friendly culture, and Members often bring their four-legged friends along to relax in the Village Centre after a workout in the nearby Dog Park, Windsor’s designated off-leash area. Dogs, on-leash, are welcome to lounge at the Village Store loggia where fresh water and treats are always on hand.

Events

Robust calendar of events that take place on the greens, at the Exedra and the Pergola includes theme dinners, wine tastings, rehearsal dinners, concerts and performances. Every season, the greens are also transformed to accommodate a variety of special events including a fashion shows complete with catwalk, and pop-up boutiques.

Concierge & Post Office

Practical matters can be handled with ease at the Concierge Office and Post Office. Members can stop by to pick up mail, handle business needs, arrange local excursions or reserve the Concierge Boardroom for small- to medium-sized meetings.

The Windsor experience begins as one arrives, passing under the community’s iconic allée of live oaks. From there, myriad opportunities abound for sporting, socializing or quiet time in an idyllic setting.

Active Living

Jasmine-scented tennis courts, a links-style golf course with no tee-times and miles of equestrian trails through the shade of hammocks all beckon Members to enjoy active living in South Florida’s marvelous climate. A stretch of pristine Atlantic Ocean beachfront is the setting for lively picnics, long walks and refreshing swims.

Curated Events

A curated array of events at Windsor’s numerous indoor and outdoor venues includes thought-provoking lectures at the Town Hall, exclusive culinary and wine events, concerts and performances, pop-up shopping experiences and a multitude of sporting events.

Community Organizations

Windsor is an active and socially engaging community where Members connect around a variety of shared interests. Clubs and organizations are established in response to Members’ requests, creating opportunities for enriching experiences. From wine to literature to sailing there is something for everyone at Windsor.

THE FOUNDATION

The Windsor Charitable Foundation was created as an avenue for Windsor Members to give back to the local community. From supporting local performing arts to hosting Home and Garden tours and sporting tournaments, the Foundation brings Members together around shared interests.

Windsor Architecture & Design

Called a “dreamy new book depicting the design, lifestyle and luxury of Windsor,” by Veranda magazine, Beachside takes readers inside Windsor with photographs and essays. It is an elegant exploration of the community designed by renowned New Urbanists Andrés Duany and Elizabeth Plater-Zyberk, and the private homes within it by A-list architects and leading interior designers.
