A roster of exclusive arts and cultural events are held in Windsor’s elegant amenity spaces, including the Town Hall, the Exedra amphitheater, the Pergola, the Clubhouse and The Gallery at Windsor.

TOWN HALL
Architectural and urban theorist Léon Krier, a significant voice in the New Urbanism movement, designed Windsor’s Town Hall, which serves as both meeting hall and non-denominational place of worship. Overlooking the Equestrian Centre and just steps from the Village Centre, the Town Hall is in the heart of the Windsor community. Its airy and voluminous interior, which enjoys beautiful natural light, has been the site of numerous Members’ weddings, musical concerts, performing arts events, and talks by cultural leaders.

The monumentality of its scale, the sheer repetition of its elements proclaim its exceptional status as shelter and symbol of the community.
– LÉON KRIER, ARCHITECT

Architecture
Widely revered in architectural circles, and the design inspiration for Windsor’s logo icon, the Town Hall has been described as combining regality with comfort. The neoclassical structure, which references the American vernacular in its design, rests on a podium with a simple rectangular plan. Multiple doors allow cross-breezes and natural light filters through its many arched windows. Thirty white columns support a steeply pitched roof that rises above the skyline of the Village. It is a focal point of major vistas and sits adjacent to a public square with a calming water fountain. Although it opened in late 1999, the Town Hall’s purity of form gives it a timeless quality.
Events
The Town Hall is a cherished amenity at Windsor – a place where Members can gather as a community under the soaring rafters to hear world-class musicians and presentations on an array of topics from culture to the economy and world affairs. It has also been the site of countless family celebrations, and, as the spiritual heart of the community, the place where services are held around major religious holidays.

THE GALLERY
The Gallery at Windsor is an independent art space, home to important works of art from the George Weston Collection and host to museum-caliber exhibitions of contemporary art. It has featured the work of leading contemporary artists and has collaborated with prominent international arts organizations.

Culture is an important part of the spirit of a community, so it is only natural that art and artists should become part of the fabric of this place.
– ALANNAH WESTON
